What we collect, why, and how to remove it. Short and honest.

What we collect

When you sign up via the form on miraikibo.com, we collect your email address and the language of your browser (so we know what language to email you in).

That's all the website itself collects — no tracking pixels, no behavioral cookies, no third-party analytics. When you create an account and use one of our apps, we handle more — see “When you use our apps” below.

Why we collect it

To send you emails. That’s it.

 • A one-time confirmation email to verify the address is real (double opt-in).
 • A welcome email after you confirm.
 • Future broadcasts when something real ships — a new wing opens, a tool launches, a mission moment worth your attention. No drip funnels. No noise. We promised.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Removal is honored within 24 hours — faster than the law requires.

Who we share it with

One company: Resend, the email delivery service that physically transmits our messages. They store the address only as long as needed to deliver the mail.

We don’t sell, lease, trade, or otherwise share your data with anyone else. Ever.

When you use our apps (like Kaizen)

The sections above cover the miraikibo.com email list. When you create an account and use one of our apps, we handle more — and only what the app needs to work for you.

Your account. Your email, name, and sign-in are managed through our authentication provider, used to sign you in and keep your data yours.

What you put in Kaizen. The financial data you enter or import — transactions, amounts, categories, goals, and any optional context you add, like how a purchase felt or where it happened. It's yours; we use it only to power the app for you.

Receipts and statements. If you import a receipt or bank statement, we process the file to read the transactions in it. Any password you give us to open a protected PDF is encrypted, used only to open that file, and never shown or shared.

The public test (no account). The test at /test can be taken with no account and no email. Nothing is stored while you answer it — your answers live in the browser tab and your result travels in the page address. Two things are the exception, and only two. If you ask to compare with someone, we save your order and the email you give us, so the comparison can exist and so we can tell you when the other person has answered. And if you arrive through someone's invite link, we save your order when you finish — we tell you so on screen, before your last tap, because whoever invited you will see it. Your order is never shown to anyone who has not answered their own, and an invite link carries only a code, never anybody's answers. Write to us and we delete it.

Email sync (optional). If you turn it on, you authorize Kibo to read only the messages needed to find your statements — under Colombia's Habeas Data law (Ley 1581 de 2012) and the GDPR. Your access tokens are encrypted, the access is read-only, and you can withdraw it anytime from Automations.

AI processing. To power Kibo's suggestions, read your documents, and turn voice notes into text, the relevant data is processed by our AI providers (listed below). We send only what the feature you're using needs — never your money totals into analytics.

We work with a focused set of processors, each for a single job:

 • Clerk — sign-in and account management
 • Supabase — secure storage of your app data and documents
 • Stripe — payments and subscriptions
 • Anthropic (Claude) — the AI that powers Kibo's suggestions
 • OpenAI — reads receipts/statements and transcribes voice
 • Groq & Deepgram — turn your voice notes into text
 • Google (Gmail) — optional email sync you switch on, read-only
 • Resend — sending you email
 • PostHog — product analytics. Until you decide in the banner it runs anonymously and cookie-free (no identity, no device storage, never money amounts or personal data); with your consent it's linked to your account, and rejecting turns it off entirely
 • Vercel — hosting and delivery

How long we keep it. We keep your app data while your account is active. Delete your account and we remove it. You can also export or delete specific data anytime from within the app.

Your rights

You have the right to:

 • Access the data we hold about you
 • Correct it if it’s wrong
 • Delete it (we’ll do this within 7 days of request)
 • Port it to another service (we’ll provide a plain-text export)
 • Object to processing (just unsubscribe)
 • Withdraw consent at any time (unsubscribe link in every email)
 • Complain to your local data-protection regulator if you think we mishandled your data

In Colombia (Habeas Data, Ley 1581 de 2012), in the EU (GDPR), in the UK (UK GDPR), in California (CCPA), and in Canada (PIPEDA) — these rights are explicit. We honor them regardless of where you live.

Cookies

This site uses no tracking cookies, no pixels, and no ad-tech. We do set two small functional cookies —
miraikibo-theme
and
miraikibo-accent
— to remember your display preferences (dark/light mode and accent color) across visits. These contain only a color value or the word "light" or "dark", expire after one year, and are never shared with anyone.

Updates to this policy

When this changes meaningfully, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. If the change affects how we use your data, we’ll email everyone on the list before it takes effect.
