Terms of Use
The agreement between you and MiraiKibo Inc. for using Kaizen, in plain language.
In effect from October 25, 2026. These terms are in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and every version has the same value. If they differ, the reading most favourable to you applies.
The short version
Kaizen helps you plan your week and think about your goals, money and choices with Kibo, an AI. You accept these terms when you create your account, and section 8 when you confirm a purchase. We keep a record of the version you accepted and when. If you don’t agree, don’t create an account. Nothing here takes away a right your local consumer law gives you.
1. What Kaizen is
Kaizen is a personal planning and reflection app made by MiraiKibo Inc. You record what you do and spend, set goals and habits, and talk things through with Kibo, the AI companion inside Kaizen. Kaizen is not a bank, broker, lender or financial institution. It does not move or invest your money. Where you connect a bank or your email, Kaizen only reads what you allow. A billing balance left by a plan change is money in your favour that pays your Kaizen plan’s renewals until it is spent, handled as 8.10 says.
2. Not professional advice
Kaizen helps you organize and reflect. Nothing in it, including what Kibo says or a plan it helps you build, is financial, investment, tax, legal, medical or other professional advice, and using it doesn’t make us your advisor. The decisions are yours, so check anything important with a qualified professional. Some figures are calculations from your own entries; check them against your bank. Others are general examples or AI readings that can be wrong. None is a prediction about you.
3. Who can use Kaizen
Kaizen is for people 18 or older: if you tell us you are under 18, sign-up stops and we delete what you entered. Where the age of majority is higher, you must have reached it. We ask you to confirm your age when you create your account. If we learn later that an account belongs to someone younger, we close it, delete its data and refund any payment.
4. Your account
You can have one account. Keep your login safe and don’t share it; a plan is for one person. Tell us right away if you think someone else got into your account. Enter information as accurately as you can: Kaizen works with what you give it.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t use Kaizen to break the law, defraud anyone, reach other people’s data, attack or overload the service, or copy Kaizen’s code or design to build another product. Copying your own records is always fine. If you send us feedback, ideas or bug reports, we may use them to improve our products without paying you or naming you.
6. Kibo and the AI features
Kibo is an AI, not a person. It is not a therapist, a crisis line or an emergency service. AI features are optional and work only after you turn them on. When they are on, each feature reads what it needs: your words, entries, documents, voice notes and the email or bank data you connect. Kibo can use what you have saved in Kaizen, such as your entries and earlier conversations, to help you later. AI features use AI credits (section 8), including automatic readings that run while you are not chatting. What the AI says, reads or draws can be wrong or incomplete, including how it reads photos of receipts and statements or sorts your spending: check it before you rely on it. If you mention thoughts of suicide or self-harm, Kibo points you to help lines; if you are in danger now, call your local emergency number. How Kibo handles these moments is on our safety page.
7. What is free
Free needs no payment method. Your route, habits, journal, manual logging and saved records stay yours and usable while you keep your account, with or without AI credits. An eligible person can receive 100 starter AI credits once, while the budget that funds them lasts; the app tells you if they are not available. Reporting a problem never uses credits, on the web and in the Android app; on iPhone, for now, a report goes through Kibo’s chat and needs AI on. With AI on, each month we pay for up to 20 help answers for you when the help on a screen leaves something unclear; past that, a help answer uses your credits or, if you have none, goes to our team at no cost to you. Credits are not money: you can’t cash them out, sell them or give them away.
8. Plans, credits and payment
Paid plans, Extra, credits, renewal, the trial, plan changes, refunds and withdrawal are governed by sections 8.1 to 8.16 below, which you accept when you confirm a purchase. In short: a paid plan charges you again every month or year until you cancel it in Account › Manage my plan, or in the app store if you bought it there. Cancelling stops the next charge and keeps the plan until the end of the period you paid for, or, if a plan change left a billing balance in your favour, until that balance can no longer pay a whole renewal; it doesn’t return money already paid, unless the law says so. Moving from monthly to yearly applies at once; moving from yearly to monthly waits for the end of the paid year. A trial that doesn’t ask for a payment method ends on its own. A trial that asks for one turns into a paid plan at the exact date and time we email you when it starts: if you don’t cancel before then, we charge the amount in that email, and on a yearly plan that is the whole year. Changing plan during the trial ends it and you are charged that day.
8.1 Who sells and what you accept. Kaizen’s paid plans are sold by MiraiKibo Inc., 2810 N Church St STE 88099, Wilmington, DE 19802, United States, +57 301 888 5814, hello@miraikibo.com. Kaizen is for people 18 or older: if you tell us you are under 18, sign-up stops and we delete what you entered. Kaizen has a free plan, Free, and two paid plans, Plus and Pro, billed every month or every year. Extra is a one-time purchase of AI credits. Before you pay, checkout shows the plan, the billing period, the full amount and currency, any tax, the date of each charge and how to cancel, and asks you to agree. That summary, which we also email to you, is part of these terms for that purchase. A plan is for one person: don’t share your login.
8.2 Price, currency and tax. Prices are set in US dollars for purchases on our website. You pay in US dollars; your bank may convert the amount and charge its own fees. When we open a country with its own currency, its price is a fixed price in that currency, shown with tax included. Prices in US dollars do not include tax: where we must collect a tax, checkout adds it and shows the total before you pay.
8.3 What is free. Free needs no payment method. Your route, habits, journal, manual logging and saved records stay yours and stay usable while you keep your account, with or without AI credits. Reporting a problem never uses credits. With AI turned on, each month we pay for a limited number of help answers for each person, within a monthly budget shared by everyone; past that limit, a help answer uses your credits, or, if you have none, it goes to our team at no cost to you. A report or a question does not guarantee an immediate answer or fix.
8.4 What AI credits are. Kibo’s AI features use AI credits from one balance: conversations, voice transcription, reading supported documents and automatic readings that can run while you are not chatting, such as Mail Sync processing if you turn it on. A credit is a unit that measures AI processing. How many credits each kind of processing uses is in our rate table at https://miraikibo.com/en/kaizen/credits (in your language at /es/ and /pt/), with its version date. A long or complex task uses more credits than a short one. Your balance is shown in the app. Credits are not money: they have no cash value and you cannot withdraw them, sell them or give them to someone else. This does not limit any refund the law gives you.
8.5 Kinds of credits.
- Starter credits. One person can receive starter credits once, on one account, while the budget that funds them lasts; the app tells you if they are not available. They do not expire with time and are not given again by a new account, a trial, a device, a renewal or a plan change. We may refuse them, or a trial, if we reasonably believe you already received them through another account.
- Plan credits. Plus and Pro include credits for each month you have paid for. They arrive once that month’s payment goes through. A yearly plan gets them month by month, never the whole year at once. Each month’s plan credits end on that month’s billing date and do not carry over. On a yearly plan that is a date inside the paid year, not the yearly renewal.
- Extra. Free, Plus and Pro can buy Extra. Extra credits stay until you use them, also after you cancel or move to Free, unless the purchase is refunded or reversed (8.11). Extra is a final sale: it is refunded only in the cases in 8.11, and checkout shows this before you pay. Extra does not unlock paid features. Basic and Luxury subscriptions cannot buy Extra, and Extra is not sold while you have an active Pioneros place.
- Bonus credits. If our team confirms a bug and you were the first to report it, you can receive bonus credits, up to a monthly limit per person, from a monthly company budget: 50 credits, or 150 when the bug blocks something or touches your data, up to 300 a month. When that budget is used up, a confirmed bonus arrives the next month. Questions, suggestions and reports made after a fix is out do not earn one. While you have an active Pioneros place, a bonus waits until the place ends.
8.6 Which credits are used first. Plan credits first, then starter credits, then bonus credits, then Extra. While you have an active Pioneros place, you use the monthly Pioneros allowance set by the Pioneros terms (8.13). We never buy credits for you and never charge you for extra use.
8.7 Renewal and failed payments. Plus and Pro renew automatically at the end of each month or year you chose, at your current price unless it changed under 8.12, charged to the payment method you saved, until you cancel. If you pay yearly, we email you 30 to 45 days before each renewal with its date, amount and a link to cancel. At least once a year we remind every subscriber of their plan’s terms and how to cancel. If a renewal payment fails, we tell you by email and keep trying for at least 7 days; meanwhile you keep the plan’s features, but that month’s credits arrive only once the payment goes through. If it stays unpaid, the plan ends and your account moves to Free.
8.8 Cancelling and deleting your account. To stop paying, open Account, then «Manage my plan», then «Manage billing», and cancel. If you bought in an app store, cancel in that store. Cancelling stops the next charge; you keep the plan and its monthly credits until the end of the period you paid for, a whole paid year included, and then your account moves to Free. If you have a billing balance in your favour (8.10), your plan keeps renewing from it after you cancel and ends when the balance can no longer pay a whole renewal; we never charge your card after you cancel. Before you delete your account, the deletion screen offers to cancel renewal instead and keep your access until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting your account cancels renewal on our website at once; the period you already paid for is not refunded. Your unused Extra is refunded automatically, in proportion to what is unused, to your payment method, and then your remaining credits are removed. Deleting does not cancel a subscription bought in an app store: cancel it in that store. Removing the app from your phone does not cancel anything.
8.9 The seven-day Plus trial with a payment method. One person can start one seven-day Plus trial, once, by adding a payment method; it is not available if the account already had any Kaizen trial, even one without a card, or while you have an active Pioneros place. During the trial you have Plus’s features, with AI on our base model, and you use the credits you already have: the trial adds none, and if your starter credits are used up or unavailable, it includes no AI credits. When you start, we email you the exact date and time the trial ends in your time zone, the amount and currency of the first charge, and how to cancel; we remind you again before that charge. If you do not cancel before that time, your Plus subscription starts and you are charged. If you chose yearly, that first charge is the whole year’s price. If you change your plan or billing period during the trial, the trial ends and you are charged that day; the confirmation screen shows the amount first. A trial that does not ask for a payment method ends on its own; you don’t need to cancel it.
8.10 Changing plan. Your plan’s confirmation screen shows the amount and the date before you accept any change.
- Plus to Pro. Starts at once. You pay Pro’s price for a new period minus the value of the time you haven’t used on Plus, and your billing date restarts that day. Plus credits left this month are removed and Pro’s start. If your unused Plus time is worth more than the new charge, the difference stays as a billing balance in your favour; it is money, not AI credits, and it pays your plan’s next renewals until it is spent. If you cancel, your plan keeps renewing from that balance and ends when the balance can no longer pay a whole renewal; we never charge your card after you cancel. That balance is not refunded in cash, except where the law or our error requires it.
- Pro to Plus. Starts at the end of the period you paid for. You keep Pro and its credits until then.
- Monthly to yearly on the same plan. Starts at once. You pay the year’s price minus the value of the unused part of your month, prorated, and your billing date restarts that day. Your current month’s plan credits end and a fresh month of credits opens.
- Yearly to monthly on the same plan. Starts at the end of the paid year. You keep the yearly plan and its monthly credits until then.
8.11 Refunds, withdrawal and disputes. To ask for a refund, write to hello@miraikibo.com; a person answers within 5 business days. A refund is paid within the time the law sets (in Colombia, 30 calendar days). Cancelling does not by itself refund a past charge, and cancelling a yearly plan early does not refund its unused months, except where the law says otherwise. If the law where you live gives you a right to withdraw from a purchase made at a distance (for example, 5 business days in Colombia or 7 days in Brazil), use it by writing to us within that period and we refund as that law requires. If a minor bought a plan without permission, a parent or guardian can write to us for a refund. Extra is a final sale. It is refunded only (a) for our error, such as a double charge or credits not delivered, (b) where the law gives you a right to withdraw, and (c) its unused part when you delete your account (8.8). A refund we issue removes only the credits it refunds, in proportion; credits already used are not restored and nothing you saved is deleted. If you dispute an Extra charge with your bank, its unused credits are frozen until the bank decides: if the bank keeps the charge, they come back; if it reverses the charge and returns your money, they are removed. If you dispute an Extra purchase whose credits you already used and the bank reverses the charge, you can’t buy Extra again; while the bank decides, or if it keeps the charge, you still can. Checkout shows these rules before you pay. You can also complain to your bank or to the consumer authority where you live. Nothing in these terms takes away a refund or withdrawal right the law gives you, however many credits you have used.
8.12 Changes to price, credits and rates. We tell you in the app and by email at least 30 days before a price rise or another material change, such as fewer included credits, applies to you. A new price applies only from your next renewal after that notice, never to a period you already paid for, and you can cancel before it applies at no cost. Where the law requires your acceptance, the change applies only if you accept it; if you don’t, your plan continues unchanged until the end of the period you paid for and then ends. A paid year and Extra already bought never change. A change to the rate table applies only to credits issued after it. If you don’t agree with a change, you can cancel before it applies.
8.13 Pioneros. Pioneros is a separately funded feedback pilot, not a paid plan, with its own terms, shown before you join, and no payment method. Feedback keeps your place under those terms; it does not refill credits. When your first Plus or Pro payment goes through, your Pioneros place ends and does not come back, even if that payment is later refunded. When a place ends, bank syncing stops; movements already imported stay, and you can reconnect from a plan that includes bank connections. Starting checkout, or a declined payment, does not end your place.
8.14 Basic, Luxury and earlier Free accounts. If you subscribed to Basic or Luxury before these terms, you keep that plan, its renewals and its rights. If you switch it to Plus or Pro, these terms apply from that change, you cannot switch back, and the earlier plan’s rights end, bank connections included. If your account was on Free before these terms, it keeps its monthly AI allowance until you buy Plus, Pro or Extra. Buying any of them ends that allowance and the account’s bank connections, and if the paid plan later ends, the account moves to today’s Free, without the money planning workspace. Your records stay yours. Checkout tells you this before you pay.
8.15 Where we sell, and app stores. We sell paid plans only to people with a billing address and card in the United States, Canada or Australia. Every other country is closed until we clear it. A checkout from elsewhere is refused before payment, and a purchase that gets through anyway is cancelled and refunded in full. A translated page does not mean we sell in that country. Features that depend on others, such as Mail Sync’s access to Gmail, work only where available. Bank connections and consumer MCP access are not part of these plans. 8.2 and 8.7 to 8.11 apply to purchases on our website, except where they speak of app stores. A plan bought in an app store is priced, changed, cancelled and refunded through that store, under its rules.
8.16 If we stop. If we stop offering Kaizen or your plan, we tell you at least 30 days before and refund the unused part of any prepaid period and your unused Extra, at the price you paid. If we close your account because you broke these terms, we don’t refund what you paid, except where the law requires it.
9. Your data
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it, how long we keep it and your rights to see, correct, get a copy of and delete it. It is a notice, not part of this agreement. When you create your account, you authorize MiraiKibo Inc. to process your data for the purposes the Privacy Policy describes. Besides that, we ask separately in the app before AI processing, connecting email or a bank, and analytics cookies, and you can withdraw any of these.
10. Our service
We work to keep Kaizen running and accurate, but it can have errors or interruptions, and we may change or remove features. If a paid feature doesn’t work as described, tell us: we fix it or, if we can’t, refund the part you paid for and couldn’t use. This does not limit the legal warranty or any other right your law gives you.
11. Limit of liability
Where the law allows a limit, and except for losses caused by our fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, a data-security failure or a breach of law, the most we owe you for a claim is the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before it and US$200. We don’t answer for losses that don’t come directly from our mistake, such as income you hoped to earn. This limit does not apply in Colombia, Brazil or the European Union, or anywhere else the law doesn’t allow it.
12. Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time in Account. Before you delete, the deletion screen offers to cancel renewal instead and keep your access until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting cancels renewal of a plan bought on our website at once, without refunding the period you already paid for; a plan bought in an app store is cancelled in that store. Your unused Extra is refunded automatically, in proportion to what is unused, to your payment method; then your records and remaining credits are removed, as the Privacy Policy describes. We may suspend or close an account only for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, fraud, a risk to others, or a legal duty. Unless the law or someone’s safety prevents it, we tell you first, explain why and let you answer; if we were wrong, we restore access. If we close your account, you can ask us for a copy of your records within 30 days, and prepaid value is handled as 8.16 says.
13. Changes to these terms
We tell you in the app and by email at least 30 days before a change to these terms applies. A change never applies to a period you already paid for; price, credit and plan changes follow 8.12. A change that reduces your rights or adds an obligation applies to you only if you accept it; if you don’t, the earlier terms keep applying until your paid period ends, and you can cancel or delete your account at any time.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, the mandatory protections of your local law still apply. You can bring a claim in the courts where you live or before your consumer authority.
15. Other programmes and channels
Some parts of Kaizen have their own terms, which you see before joining and which apply together with these: the Pioneros pilot terms, and the First-Job Plan programme terms. If you use Kibo through WhatsApp, WhatsApp’s terms also apply and your messages pass through Meta. A plan bought in Google Play or the App Store also follows that store’s rules.
16. General
We send notices in the app and to your account email. If one part of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies. If MiraiKibo Inc. is sold or merges, these terms move with it and we tell you.
17. Contact and complaints
MiraiKibo Inc., a Delaware corporation, 2810 N Church St STE 88099, Wilmington, DE 19802, United States, +57 301 888 5814, hello@miraikibo.com. A person on our team answers every message, refund requests included, within 5 business days; an AI assistant may help draft the answer. For a complaint, write to us. You can also go to your consumer authority: in Colombia, the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (sic.gov.co); in California, the Department of Consumer Affairs, Consumer Information Center, 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, (800) 952-5210.
